By car:
If coming from Warsaw follow the route signposted to Katowice or Wroclaw. There is major fork in the road at Janki, the site of major supermarkets. Continue to follow the signs to Katowice. About 30 km after Janki you will come to a Shell petrol station on the left hand side. Shortly after this there is a viaduct over the road. After another 2.5 km, in the village Oddzial (indicated by a simple green sign) turn right, taking the only asphalt-layered road in the village. A signpost indicates this road as the way to Kuklowka. Follow this road straight to the centre, after 12,5 km. You pass one cross-road at Kuklowka, and a second in Jaktorow, just before a railway crossing. After a further one and a half kms, the road becomes a dirt-track. The centre is on the left, after a farm. In total, the distance from the railway-crossing to the centre is about three kms.
The journey from the centre of Warsaw to the dharma centre takes approximately one hour.
From Berlin: take route number 2 to Warsaw. About fifty five kms before Warsaw, just before Sochaczew, turn right onto road number 717 to Zyrardow (this is signposted towards Grojec). In Zyrardow, just after passing a short tunnel, turn left towards Warsaw (route number 719). Where the village Jaktorow ends and just before the village Chylice Kolonia begins, turn left at a cross-roads. If you pass a sign indicating Chylice Kolonia, then you have gone too far. Pass a railroad and go straight on. After a further one and a half kms, the road becomes a dirt-track. The centre is on the left, after a farm. In total, the distance from the railway-crossing to the centre is about three kms. The journey from the German border to the dharma centre takes approximately six hours.
From the south take the route E67 to Warssaw. About 40 kms before Warsaw, a few kms after Radziejowice, in the village Oddzial (indicated by a simple green sign) turn left, taking the only asphalt-layered road in the village.
By plane:
there is only one Warsaw airport, but this has two terminals: one used by regular airlines and the other by low-cost and budget carriers. These are respectively called Warszawa Chopin and Warszawa Etiuda. From either terminal take bus number 175 to the railway station Warszawa Centralna/Warszawa Srodmiescie. It is important to use this station which accesses local services. Centralna is the station for long-distace and international services. They are 300 metres apart, and the trains for the centre leave from Warszawa Srodmiescie. Alternatively, taxis are available by phone from the airport (6 444 444 or 6 777 777). These offer reasonable fares to Grabnik, about euro 40. Standard "hotel taxis" outside the airport are usually much more expensive.
By rail:
From the Warszawa Centralna station go to Warszawa Srodmiescie station (about 300m). The nearest station to the dharma centre is Jaktorow, but it is better to travel to Grodzisk Mazowiecki. This is the stop before Jaktorow, and is better to use because there are more frequent trains and many more taxis available there. So, from Warszawa Srodmiescie station take a local train to Grodzisk Mazowiecki and then taxi from there (about euro 10). If you go to Jaktorow, there is usually only one taxi servicing the station.
Trains departure to Grodzisk Mazowiecki is every half hour, and it takes about 35 minutes to get to Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
