The Sanskrit word “Kalachakra ” means “wheel of time” – it refers to the cycles of nature and human life, as well as to the cycles of creation and disappearance of whole universes. The Kalachakra Tantra is the crown of all Buddhist teachings.
It includes numerous treatises concerning not only philosophy, meditation and yoga, but also cosmology, astrology and medicine, showing mutual connections between human beings and the universe, as well as methods of achieving harmony between the microcosm of our body/mind and the macrocosm of the world we live in.

On the temporal level, the blessing of the Kalachakra initiation brings peace and harmony both in to the outer world, and to the life of everyone, who has created a connection with this mandala. It expels the danger of epidemics, and natural disasters arising from the disharmony of elements. It pacifies conflicts and wars and brings peace, love, and harmony among people. In personal life it helps to overcome diseases and other misfortunes, as well as to gain long life, prosperity, and positive relations with the others.

The great Kalachakra initiation will be the culminating point of the Grabnik Buddhist Centre 10 th anniversary celebration. It will be given by the Most Venerable Tenga Rinpoche who has been duly authorised by His Holiness the 16 th Karmapa. The ritual will be performed in its full traditional form for the first time in Poland.
