Soon, it will be five years since Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche passed into parinirvana. As we know, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinle Dorje handed to His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche the letter of prediction concerning the new incarnation of Tenga Rinpoche. Karmapa also recommended that certain recitations are completed to remove obstacles, which might appear during the process of searching for the Tulku or taking over by him the heritage of his predecessor.
As we already wrote, the Praises to the Twenty One Taras were recited one million times by monks from different monasteries. Both Benchen Labrang (the administration of the monastery) and His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche assigned funds as offerings for the recitations.
The recitation of the advised one hundred million mantras of Guru Rinpoche continued throughout the year 2016. From 13 to 28 December 2016 Benchen Monastery in Kathmandu held Guru Rinpoche Konchok Chidu practice combined with the accumulation of the mantra. The practice was led by His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, who additionally bestowed Konchok Chidu, Chenrezig and Tsepame Long Life empowerments. Thanks to the enormous dedication of Benchen monastic and lay community it was possible to complete over 300 million mantras! Now, filled with hope, we await for Yangsi Tenga Rinpoche to reveal to us his face.
