His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje takes care of Tenga Rinpoche Yangsi’s education. Recently he has suggested that in summer 2021, when Rinpoche comes back to his village Rö in Nubria, he has time completely free from learning. That time the young Tulku should spend on playing and fun with other children. After that, as it was in previous years, during two summer months, Rinpoche will receive teachings from Khenpo Ösung.
His Holiness has also advised that the representatives of the Benchen monastery ask the teacher Ge Nyima to teach Rinpoche every winter for few months. Ge Nyima is Khenpo, outstanding scholar and expert on Tibetan grammar. Back in Tibet, in the Tsurphu monastery, as well as in exile in India, he was one of the main teachers of His Holiness Karmapa. He was also one of the lamas who fled from Tibet together with the Karmapa.
In March 2021, Ge Nyima was staying in Benchen retreat centre in Parping. Therefore, the delegation from the monastery: Chagdzö Tashi Öser, Khenpo Ösung, Sherap Wangchuk, Gyurme Phuntsok and Tempa Yarphel, visited him and expressed the request. Ge Nyima had agreed and it was established that he would teach the young Rinpoche in winter in Benchen Monastery.
The Karmapa has also suggested that it is the time that Yangsi Rinpoche has his hair cut which was joyfully accepted by him (see the picture). Rinpoche likes his new haircut very much.
