Following the advice of His Eminence Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, we invited to Poland a Benchen monastery monk, who is particularly skilled in gilding and painting statues' faces. Yeshe Chöphel came to Grabnik for three weeks. Prior to his arrival, Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche offered us all the needed materials.
Yeshe Chöphel has beautifully repainted the face of the grand Buddha Shakyamuni statue. The statues of two Arhats, who accompanied the Buddha, Shariputra and Maudgalyana, have recently been filled with mantras, trees of life and relic pills. Their faces were also painted by Yeshe Chöphel. Soon, their bodies will be gilded and traditional ornaments will be attached to Buddha Shakyamuni's throne.
