The annual Kagyu Monlam in Poland has already become a tradition. According to the will of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche on 7-9 September 2012, once again, we held joint prayers for prosperity and peace for the whole world.
As you know, His Holiness the Karmapa took guidance over the ceremony in Grabnik as an offshoot of the annual International Kagyu Monlam in Bodh Gaya, India. The Kagyu Monlam Committee this year chose Lama Jigme and Lama Shenpen, who came to Poland to prepare tormas and the altar, and Umdze Dawa, who led the singing.
His Holiness Karmapa donated his calligraphies, as well as the Polish edition of a book of his lectures, dedicating the income for the organization of the Kagyu Monlam in Poland.
The ceremony began, as usual, with a procession carrying the image of His Holiness the Karmapa to the tent being the lhakhang (temple), and ended with the "Lamp Prayer", whose culmination is the march around the centre with lit candles and then setting them in a circle around the Karmapa’s flag.
The main Lama leading the Third Kagyu Monlam Poland was Venerable Sangter Tulku Rinpoche. During these three days, Rinpoche had the opportunity to give two very inspiring lectures, four-armed Chenrezig empowerment and he continuously supported our prayers with His blessing.
