Friendship between the Centre in Grabnik and the Vietnamese society in Poland has been flourishing for many years. We receive guests from Vietnam – both these of high spiritual rank as well as laypersons living or visiting Poland. We are also invited to many events in Vietnamese Buddhist temples.
The Vietnamese society was numerously represented in Grabnik during occasions such as inauguration of the Buddhist Culture Centre or gates opening of the first three-year-retreat in drubkhang. Our lamas are sometimes invited to a Vietnamese temple in order to perform or take part in religious ceremonies.
His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, during his visit in Poland in 2006, met with Vietnamese society in Warsaw pagoda. Rinpoche talked about two the most important aspects of Buddhist practice – refuge in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha as well as bodhicitta – helping all beings. After that Rinpoche answered many questions. At the end of the meeting the hosts offered delicious treat.
Venerable Sangter Rinpoche, during his visit in Grabnik in 2016, also visited Vietnamese Buddhist temple near Warsaw. Rinpoche bestowed long life empowerment of Guru Rinpoche Kynchok Chidu. Pictures from this visit are available in our Gallery.
