13-14 July 2019 (weekend)
Led by Venerable Sangter Tulku Rinpoche.
It is an extended, two-days long empowerment. On the first day, the preparatory empowerment is given along with introductory teachings. Without them, one cannot participate in the main part of the abhisheka, which takes place on the second day.
Seminar begins on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and ends on Sunday afternoon. Please remember that the programme depends on Rinpoche entirely and, if Rinpoche wishes, it can be changed at any time.
Chakrasamvara (in Tibetan Khorlo Demchok or Khorlo Dompa) is the embodiment of the highest joy of all Buddhas. Along with Vajrayogini (Dorje Phagmo), who is his partner, this was the main Yidam of all the great lineage holders in the Kagyu tradition: Tilopa, Naropa, Marpa, Milarepa, Gampopa and the Karmapas. Marpa the Translator and the forefathers of the Kagyu lineage regarded the Chakrasamvara tantra as the essence of all other tantras.
Receiving this empowerment is connected with taking on the obligation to repeat the short mantra of Khorlo Demchok at least 108 times a day for the rest of one’s life.
