PROGRAMME
Led by: Lama Rinchen.
Medicine Buddha empowerment on Sunday 14 July at 11:00 a.m.
Medicine Buddha Puja (Sangye Menla) on Sunday 14 Luly at 3:00 pm.
Medicine Buddha practice (tib. Sangye Menla) belongs to the tradition of the highest Buddhist tantras and, in its ultimate result, leads to the Buddhahood. But before we achieve this aim, it purifies negative karma which manifests in the form of suffering and diseases.
In monasteries of Kagyu and Nyingma traditions this practice is often dedicated to the sick ones. Thanks to the blessing of Medicine Buddha those people meet the right doctors and the medicines blessed with the Sangye Menla mantra work more efficient. Since the initial cause of any kinds of diseases are negative emotions, this practice helps to purify and transform them into wisdom.
Empowerment and practice of Medicine Buddha lead to favourable rebirth, that is why this puja is preformed not only in the intention of living, but also to the deceased ones.
