PROGRAMME REGISTRATION SUGGESTED DONATIONS FOOD GUIDE FOR PARTICIPANTS

PROGRAMME

Led by: Khenpo Woesung

Khenpo Woesung was born in 1983 in the Tsum Valley on the border between Nepal and Tibet. At a young age, he entered the Benchen Monastery in Kathmandu, where he studied for several years under Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche and then began his studies at Shedra in Rumtek. As he was an outstanding student, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje asked him to make a break from his studies and act in during that period as his assistant. After that, he graduated with a very good result and then returned to the Benchen Monastery, where he did the traditional three-year meditation retreat and an additional six-month retreat. Soon after, he was appointed as the head khenpo of the Benchen Monastery in Kathmandu. He is currently the teacher of Yangsi Tenga Rinpoche appointed by His Holiness the 17th Karmapa. Khenpo Woesung has already visited Poland in 2018.

Seminar begins on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and ends on Sunday at about 5:00 p.m.

Calm abiding meditation, called in Tibetan "shine" and "Shamata" in Sanskrit, is a basis and condition of proficiency in any other spiritual practises, that’s why it’s an immensely important element of Buddhism. Shine techniques used in mahamudra tradition make it possible to adjust them to individual likings and skills of practitioners.

During this seminar we will continue the basics of shine meditation and deepen our understanding of this practice. We will also meditate together in many short sessions.
