The fourth Kagyu Monlam Poland took place from the 24th to 26th of August 2013. This time His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche was the main leading Lama.

During the first day there was a solemn procession with the image of H.H. Karmapa. After this, Rinpoche offered the Mandala of the Universe and symbols of the enlightened Body, Speech, Mind, Qualities and Activities to the Karmapa’s throne. Rinpoche gave also the opening speech.

On the second day, in the forenoon session, His Eminence bestowed the Milarepa empowerment. During the last day, in the forenoon session, Rinpoche gave an excellent and profound commentary on “Eight Verses for Training the Minds,” a text on Lojong practice by Geshe Langri. In the afternoon session, after the Tsok Puja of Milarepa, everyone gathered near the three-year retreat centre in order to participate in the ceremony of closing the gates of drubkhang. Then, under the guidance of H.E. Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, the next group of future lamas began their three-year retreat.

As usual, Kagyu Monlam ended with the Marme Monlam ceremony, during which all the participants were singing prayers holding the blazing lamps in their hands and then, chanting Karmapa Kyenno mantra, people placed the lamps around the Karmapa’s flag in the middle of the Centre courtyard.
